Skills Communication skills My present presales role and past roles in customer service required me to speak face to face with customers. It was not uncommon for the customer to be unsure in the technology we where discussing. Each one needs a different approach so as not to patronise or intimidate when speaking to them. Training At PSINet I was responsible for training the majority of the sales team. This included preparing presentations and documentation. The aim of this was to fill any gaps they may have had in order for them to come across as more credible when speaking to customers. One of my roles at J.C.B. Transmissions was to train members in my department on the new systems that I had developed, so that they could be carried on after I had left. I documented the systems in detailed manuals.
